Most of the audio is free and you will need REAL PLAYER. The free version i adequate. Before I give you useful links it is again worth emphasizing that CONFERENCE CALLS ARE IMPORTANT it is a quick and cheap way of pugging someone into the system.

Excel Representative Testimonials - Al and Rani Powell
Many people will tell you that to reach a goal you must stay focused. For Al & Ranjit (Rani) Powell, that's pretty easy. They just look out the window of their current house at a road meandering high in the California hills. Perched on top is their dream home. "If you're ever going to get to where you want to be, you've got to set big goals," says Al. "We've overcome a lot of obstacles and misconceptions about network marketing to reach our goals," says Rani. "We paid so little to start our Excel business and have gotten so much out of it because of our passion, belief, focus and dedication." And while their journey in Excel began only five years ago, Al's experience prior to Excel helped position the Powells for success.
Al's career began in the Air Force as a jet engine mechanic, an air traffic controller, and, finally, a recruiter. The discipline the military instilled in Al was to his benefit. "I was already conditioned to work hard with integrity." And in order to be promoted up the ranks, he attended classes on teamwork, leadership development and public speaking.
Promoted to Air Force recruiter after 14 years in the service, Al found his niche and developed a thick skin. "When I was recruiting for the Air Force I was asking inner city L.A. kids to give up four years of their lives, so I got an incredible number of no's. Rejection is just the cost of doing business. If you're not getting no's then chances are you're not talking to anyone."
After nearly 20 years in the service and with the rank of Master Sergeant under his belt, Al was ready to go to work for himself. "I didn't want to get a regular job. After spending my last five years as a recruiter, it was sort of like running my own business. I was pretty much on my own, setting my own hours. Even though there wasn't a lot of money, there was a lot of flexibility, and I got used to that."
So Al started on a quest for a new occupation and stumbled onto the Excel Opportunity while visiting a friend in Hawaii. Like many prospects, Al wasn't initially confident that Excel would be a good business for him. "Deep down inside I didn't really think I would be successful. I had tried other network marketing companies in the past, so there was a bit of doubt. But the timing was right and I liked who Excel was and what they were doing."
Despite his doubt, Al signed up right away, telling Rani they were Independent Representatives when he returned home. And as with many supportive spouses, Rani wanted nothing to do with the business — initially. "I didn't understand what network marketing or direct selling was. I had never heard of such things. Then we started to get little checks in the mail that made a believer out of me. It helped me understand that all we had to do was talk to some people and get customers."
The two worked hard, enabling Al to retire from the military a few months early. Rani quit her job once their Excel income replaced their previous incomes, which took about a year. Together, they developed a solid business, with both of them actively recruiting and holding meetings.
As a couple they remain extremely active in training, motivating and recognizing their team all over the country. "The more people you get in this business that are geographically dislocated from you, the more important it is for them to feel that you're just a phone call away," states Al. "Most people want to be affiliated with a successful group."
You can be sure, with the support and business strategies this couple employs, that their focus rarely deviates from their dreams of extensive travel and, of course, the house on the hill. And you can be confident that they will get where they want to be.
Excel Representative Testimonials - Randy and Karen Hedge
To really get a sense of life in the Hedge family, you first need to travel to their hometown of DeQueen, Arkansas. Nestled about an hour northwest of Texarkana, DeQueen (population 5,000) is tucked away from the encroachments of the city and life here has a mild pace. In a community this size, you may think it is near-impossible to build a top money earner Excel business. That is, until you meet Randy Hedge.
Prior to Excel, Randy was the owner and operator of two insurance agencies. But, according to Randy, while he found financial comfort, "I didn't have the quality of life I wanted. I didn't feel like I had enough time for my family." He had been aware of the Excel Opportunity for some time before making the decision to join, and when he was ready, he aggressively sought out the person who eventually sponsored him.
"It was a little hard at first," admits Randy. "People that I loved, admired and respected thought I had lost my mind. But I was committed to doing it." Because of his dedication, Randy began quickly proving to everyone that his decision was the right one — after four months with Excel, he was able to retire one of his insurance agencies.
For the Hedges, everything in life follows after their spiritual beliefs and their family. Their bond is a powerful statement of how people pull together and take control of life through love, faith and devotion. And given the somewhat isolated nature of DeQueen, it is a bond that has given them a solid foundation to draw from as Randy traveled to build his business.
When Randy's travels increased, Karen realized that the best way she could support their business was to maintain the homefront. She rolled up her sleeves and took on everything at home — including all the yardwork and other chores that Randy had been doing. In Karen's mind, she didn't do anything that any loving spouse wouldn't do. But people in the Excel community noticed how deeply supportive she is of Randy and his business, which paved the way for her to receive the Sarah Smith Partner in Excellence award at Excelebration 1999.*
Karen is deeply humbled and grateful for this honor. "For someone to give me an award for living the life that I have been blessed with is very overwhelming; to be honored for supporting Randy is very emotional for me." For Randy, there's no two ways about it when it comes to his wife. "Karen's support and positiveness touches so many lives. She is a true blessing to everyone who knows her."
Though Randy and Karen have enjoyed the success that being in the Excel limelight brings, don't expect them to make big changes to their lives anytime soon. While they recognize they could potentially find greater financial success by leaving their small town lifestyle behind, Randy sums up their commitment to staying in DeQueen. "If we had all the money in the world, this is where we'd live. Our church home is here and both our families are close. Karen and I said to ourselves, 'It might take a little more effort and a little more travel, but it will be worth it.' It's more than just about money, it's about the quality of our lives. And Excel is helping us to have the life we want."
